Pet Allergies?

The allergy causing material from pets, often isn't pet hair, but rather a protein present in the dander and saliva of pets. These pet allergens become airborne as microscopic particles, which when inhaled into the nose or lungs can produce allergic symptoms. The most important determinants of an allergic reaction to a pet is the amount of airborne allergen in the immediate environment and the individual's sensitivity to the allergen. Pet allergies can be very debilitating, and pet allergen is one of the most difficult to remove from the home because it is extremely small. To effectively remove the source of a pet allergen, without removing your pet- see our recommended steps below.

Step 1. You will need some type of vacuum cleaner, to help filter your air with a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Absolute). HEPA filter vacuums will reduce the pet allergens in the air, trapping it permanently.

Step 2. Obtain either a HEPA air purifier to help filter your air or use ClearAir. The HEPA air cleaners help eliminate pet allergens but ClearAir extreminates them.

Step 3. You could also add a vapour steam cleaner to clean, disinfect, deodorize, and remove pet dander. They are the perfect tool for allergy sufferers and those with multiple chemical sensitivities.

Dust Mites?

Dust mites are too small to be seen but are the most common cause of year-round allergy and asthma. Dust mites live in mattresses, pillows, carpets, furniture, bedcovers, and clothes - anywhere they can feed on dead flakes of human skin. To control and prevent dust mite allergies, wash your sheets and blankets once a week in hot water. Dust mite mattress covers and dust mite pillow encasings are essential for dust mite allergen control.

Step 1. Use dust mite mattress covers and dust mite pillow encasings for an anti-allergen
barrier between you and the dust mites, and or down in your bedding.

Step 2. Use a HEPA Vacuum Cleaner, to trap the dust mite allergen inside the bag instead of exhausting it into the air. HEPA vacuum cleaners are sealed tight and won't allow your dust mites to filter through your vacuum back into your air.

Pollen Allergies? Hay Fever?

When conditions are right, a plant starts to pollinate. Weather affects how much pollen is carried in the air each year, but it has less effect when pollination occurs. As a rule, weeds pollinate in late summer and fall. The weed that causes 75 percent of all hay fever is ragweed, which has numerous species. One ragweed plant is estimated to produce up to 1 billion pollen grains. Other weeds that cause allergic reactions are cocklebur, lamb's quarters, plantain, pigweed, tumbleweed or Russian thistle and sagebrush. To fully eliminate pollen, we highly recommend using a combination of the products below to insure the riddance of all pollen spores through out your home.

Mold?

Molds such as mold, fungus mold, and slime molds are most often found in areas that have high humidity levels such as bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms or damp basements (especially after flooding). It is important to try and prevent mold and mildew growth, and if it's too late, try mold remediation and mold removal.

Because mold and mildew release mold spores in the air that can float throughout the house, severe allergic reactions such as watery eyes, runny nose and sneezing, nasal congestion and fatigue, can occur. When mold starts to reproduce inside a home, it can eat away at the structure, cause thousands of dollars in damage, and possibly make family members sick from mold exposure. There are several mold cleaning, prevention, and mold removal methods to deal with this persistent problem. We highly recommend using a combination of these products to reduce mold to safe levels throughout your home.

Step 1. You will need a dehumidifier because basements must be dried out, and humidity levels should be maintained at about 50% relative humidity or lower to prevent mold and mildew growth.

Step 2. Obtain either a HEPA air purifier to help filter your air or use ClearAir. HEPA air cleaners help eliminate airborne mold spores. ClearAir exterminates them.

Step 3. Use a HEPA Vacuum Cleaner, because vacuuming with HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Absolute) filter vacuums can reduce mold spore concentrations in damp areas and carpets. A HEPA vacuum properly traps mold spores that can remain or be spread into the air.

Step 4. You could also use a vapour steam cleaner to clean, disinfect, deodorize, and kill mold. They are the perfect tool for allergy sufferers and those with multiple chemical sensitivities- especially mold allergies.

Step 5. You might want to use Mold and Mildew Resistant Bedding, as wool and latex are both natural mold resistant materials. These products can also help solve a mold problem.
